What is "Karma"?Written by PHL AdminThursday, 01 November 2007 Karma is a person's overal rating as an active message board user. Other members can "Applaud" or "Smite" a user based on how much they value the user's opinions and replies to other topics. Think of karma as a feedback system. If a user posts informative topics, gives valuable advice to other users, and participates in a civil manner, then there karma score will reflect that. However, if a user is rude or disrespectful, their karma score will suffer and other users will know to avoid them in potentially controversial discussions. As we have stated before, the purpose of the message board is to allow users to voice their opinions, and discuss topics important to the community. Therefore, it is in everyone's best interest to act in a civil manner. Last Updated Tuesday, 30 November 1999 |
