Membership to this site is 100% absolutely FREE, and we intend on keeping it that way.

We feel that the success of a community-based site is based on the ability of ALL users to participate regardless of how much money they pay.  We gladly accept donations made using the links available throughout the site, but we don't expect you to give us anything to use the information that we proudly include throughout the site.

Our main goal is to provide a user-friendly online community where everyone can learn and enjoy the wealth of information that this site provides.  We encourage you to be active in the online community, and not to be afraid to voice your opinion on issues that affect your lives.

2.) How do I register for an account

To register for your free account, simply click on the REGISTER link next to the login form on any of the site pages.  You be asked to fill out a simple form supplying your contact information.  Please be sure to enter your email address correctly as you will receive a verification email upon completeion of your registration.

The only information that will be publicly available is your username.  Your real name, email address, and other information will not be publicly viewable unless noted by an icon next to the field.

 Upon completion and verification of your account, a site profile will be created for you.  You can access and view your community profile using the MY DETAILS link in the user menu on each site page.  To view other member's profiles, click the MEMBERS LIST link in the main navigation area.

3.) How do I retrieve my password

You can retrieve your password by using the "Lost Password" link in the login section of the site.  To retrieve your password, you must enter your username and registered email address.  If you do not know your username, you will need to send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for further instructions.  You will not be able to sign up for a second account using the same email address.

4.) How do I upload my picture?

You can add your picture to your profile by doing the following:

    1. Log into your account
    2. Click the "My Details" link
    3. Click the EDIT menu at the top of your profile
    4. Click "Upload My Picture"
    5. Browse to the location of your picture and select it
    6. Clcik the "Upload" button.

Please note that the maximum size for pictures is 200 pixels wide x 500 pixels high.  If your picture is larger than these dimensions, you will need to use photo editing software to resize the picture to those dimensions.  When doing this, please use the option to constrain proportions so that your picture is not skewed.

5.) What are Connections?

Connections allow you to make friends on the site, and keep in touch will other users who visit the site. 

To make a connection, simply log into your account, view the membership list, and select a member from the list.  When viewing their profile, put your mouse over the "CONNECTIONS link and click "Request Connection".  Enter a short message in the textbox, and click "Submit".  Your request will be sent to the user, and they will be notified of your request.  Once they approve the connection, you will see the user listed in the Connections area of your profile.

6.) How do I send a private message to other users?

When sending private messages, the user will be immediately notified when they click on any link to move to a different page throughout the site.  A small popup will appear notifying them of a new private message, as well as an indication under their login status on each page.

To send a private message, click on the user's profile, and click "Messages" at the top of the window.  Select to link to "Send Private message", and a new message window will open.  You can specify a different user by clicking on the "To" link, selecting "Show Users", and selecting a different members name.  Enter your message, and click the "Send" button.

If the user is currently online, they will be immediately notified once they move to another page.  If they are offline, they will be notified once they login to the site.

7.) How do I send email to other users?

When sending messages to other users through email, the message will be sent through the site itself.  Your message will be sent to the user's registered email address that they origianlly set up during the registration process.  At no time will any user be able to see other member's email address, unless the user specifically publishes their email address in a publicly available area (i.e. message board posts, classified ads listing, etc.).  However, the user will be able to see your email address when they receive the message.  Take this into consideration when sending emails to other users through the site.

To send either an email or a private message, click on the users profile, and click "Messages" at the top of the window, and click "Send Email".  Enter your subject line and message as you would like it to appear.  For security purposes (and to thwart spamming through the site) you will also need to enter the letters in the security code that is displayed.  When you are finished, click the "Send Email" below, and your message will be sent.
